Alley heads to Hacks and Hackers Connect in New York City

After successful events in San Francisco, Berlin, and London, Hacks and Hackers Connect arrives in New York City on Saturday morning. The CUNY Graduate School of Journalism will host a Lean Canvas-inspired gathering of journalists and technologists to brainstorm ideas for entrepreneurial journalism and discuss what could become a sustainable future for the media industry. Alley was a co-host of the San Francisco event and we are happy to return as a co-host of the New York City version.

Alley will be represented by a contingent of team members including CTO Matt Johnson, Chief Strategy Officer Brad Campeau-Laurion, Director of Product Development Josh Kadis and Principal Software Developer Jake Foster. In addition, Alley’s Director of Editorial Strategy Megan McCarthy will serve as a mentor, sharing her experiences in the journalism and startup worlds and hosting a session on Storytelling and Distribution. Megan joins other mentors including representatives from the New York Times, CNN, Matter Ventures, Time Inc, and Google News Labs.

Alley is proud to be in the company of other co-hosts like the Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalism, the John S. Knight Journalism Fellowships at Stanford University, and NYC Media Lab.
